Hello & Welcome!

My name is Sharon, I am a highly passionate beauty professional here at Glitter & Gold whose underlying mission is to not only meet expectations, but exceed them every time. As a Brazilian waxing and eyebrow shaping expert, I have an extensive entertainment and beautician-rich background and possess the fundamental skills necessary to deliver every one of my clients the second to none experiences they deserve.

I am originally from Southern California but am currently based here in Colorado Springs. I started Glitter & Gold after a long, fun reign in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles. In short, I absolutely love what I do, designed my services on a foundation of transparency, integrity, and trust, and am known for putting my clients’ best interests first at all times.

Overall, I look to helping you take your beauty #goals to new levels, all while ensuring you have the most positive, warm, and comfortable experience along the way.

Does a Brazilian wax hurt? +

Depending on your skin type and coarse of hair, some people initially find a level of discomfort that subsides over a period of regular waxing. If you have a low pain tolerance, you can take an ibuprofen half hour prior to your appointment.

Can I use numbing cream before my appointment? +

We'd prefer you didn't. Numbing cream can react with the wax causing an uncomfortable situation after your wax is done.

Do you wax all genders? +

We only do brazilian waxes on women. See our waxing menu for other waxing services we provide for men.

How long does my hair need to be? +

Your hair should be at least 1/4 inch long before waxing to ensure all the different lengths of growth are captured. If you are a first timer, we recommend you allow up to 3 weeks to allow all hairs grow above the surface of your skin.

How often should I get waxed? +

Most people get waxed every 4 weeks on average depending on the area of the body.

Should I shave or trim between visits? +

We strongly suggest not shaving or trimming between visits but we understand that sometimes it’s hard to get to the salon. If possible we suggest making your waxing appointments closer together if you do have the urge to trim or shave in between visits. Sticking with regular waxing treatments will ensure that the hair grows in thinner each time.

What kind of wax do you use at Glitter & Gold? +

At Glitter & Gold we use hard wax.

Can I wax while Im on my period? +

Yes you can get waxed while you're on your period, you just have to wear a tampon or menstrual cup.

Can I wax while Im pregnant? +

Yes you can wax during pregnancy.

When can't I wax? +

You can not wax if you fall into any of the following categories: You're using an Retinol products, You are taking Accutane or other prescription acne medication, You have any kind of sunburn, laser burn or breakouts in the area to be waxed, You have type 1 diabetes, please let us know. We may need to clear this with your doctor.
